About The Program
-
- The College and University Student Program allows foreign nationals to study at a U.S. college or university for a maximum of 24 months.
- They can also participate in a student internship related to their field of study and fulfill the objectives of their degree program in their home country.
- Foreign nationals can study in degree-granting programs or non-degree-granting programs.
Important Information
- Two Year Rule
- Students on this program may engage in part-time employment under certain conditions, including but not limited to good academic standing at their host institution.
- Program Extensions
- Students may also partake in paid or non-paid academic training with the approval of the academic dean/advisor and the sponsor’s responsible offer.
- Extra Information
- Repeat participation is allowed in this program.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
-
- Be enrolled full time and maintain satisfactory advancement towards the academic program
- Not be financed personally, through family or friends. Finances can be directly or indirectly from the U.S. government, their home country government, or an international organization that is a U.S. member.
- Have a written agreement between the two governments (the U.S. and home country) or the two educational institutions (U.S. University and home country University).
If you need proof of English proficiency, we would recommend TEFL (one of the most widely accepted exams worldwide.)
Additional Information
Program dates vary by country, but students must have program dates within their academic calendar break. You must secure your housing before you arrive in the U.S. (Most sponsors help with this). The better your English, the better job opportunities you will have.
